Calvi is a town in the Haute-Corse department of France, on the island of Corsica. It’s the seat of the Canton of Calvi, which includes Calvi and one other town, Lumio. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS The Citadel – the historic fortress overlooking the town and bay. The 15 Août – if you’re here on the 15th of August you’ll see one of the best fireworks displays you’re likely to experience. Head to the main beach for the full show; each year has its own theme. L’Eglise Santa Maria – known as the “Big Pink Church”, this charming, traditional Catholic church has an atmosphere reminiscent of Orthodox churches.
